North America, Mexico, Guanajuato, ca. 20th century CE, signed by Capelo, active latter part of 20th century and 21st century. A striking, large ceramic urn skillfully decorated with colorful glaze in Capelo's signature style, featuring a profusion of colorful flowers, birds, vines, and fruit, giving an impression of great abundance. Deep blue bands encircle the rim and base while the background and interior are creamy white. Elegant decorative handles, composed of three ribbon-like loops, are at the base of the neck. Size: 12.7" W x 18.25" H (32.3 cm x 46.4 cm)
