Description:

East Asia, China, ca. early to mid-20th century CE. A sizable, wheel-thrown porcelain bowl with broad, flared walls and a thick rim atop a squat, annular foot. The lustrous exterior surfaces are a clean white hue with raised, fluted panels across the lower walls. Coral red leaves and stems are interspersed among blue leaves that are outlined in golden pigment and have gold-painted stems. The interior basin is adorned with a singular stripe of golden pigment as are both the top of the rim and foot exterior. Size: 15.375" Diameter x 5.5" H (39.1 cm x 14 cm)
