Description:

**Originally Listed At $400**

East Asia, Korea, Koryo (Goryeo) Dynasty, ca. 918 to 1392 CE. A lovely wheel-thrown pottery vessel with a flat base, an acorn-shaped body, a tapered shoulder, and a petite flared rim. The exterior surfaces are covered in lustrous olive-green celadon glaze, and the underside is unglazed. While glazed vessels from later dynasties were intended to be more unassuming and natural in their aesthetic, Koryo celadon vessels were meant to appear elegant and refined. Size: 5.8" W x 6.5" H (14.7 cm x 16.5 cm).
