Description:

Pre-Columbian, West Mexico, Jalisco, ca. 300 BCE to 300 CE. A redware male figure, standing and holding a cup/bowl in his right hand and possibly a morsel of food (now missing) in his left hand. Facing forward with an expressive visage comprised of large, bulging eyes, a pointy nose fitted with a large nose ornament, ears adorned by round earspools, and an open mouth revealing incised teeth - all topped with an incised, striated coiffure. He is further decorated with multi-band applied neck rings, armbands, and a tied waist wrap. Size: 10.125" H (25.7 cm); 11.5" H (29.2 cm) on included custom stand.
