Description:

Pre-Columbian, West Mexico, Jalisco, San Juanito, ca. 300 BCE to 300 CE. Advanced in age, this sweet lady with a gaunt lower face/jaw area stands with outstretched arms, both hands raised with outward-facing palms, suggesting a ritualistic stance or perhaps disorientation due to blindness as her coffee-bean shaped eyes appear to be closed or straining. Though topless, with her aging breasts revealed, she does wear a red skirt and elaborate jewelry including double armbands and multiple-hoop earrings before her long coiffure. Size: 5" W x 7.625" H (12.7 cm x 19.4 cm)
