Near East, Persia/Iran, Kashan, ca. 12th to 14th century CE. A delicate, thin-walled ceramic cup with a wide corsetted body and an ample mouth, a narrow disc foot, and a charming handle. The interior and all of the exterior but the foot are glazed with a beautiful creamy white and bold cobalt blue stripes - a stylistic motif associated with medieval Kashan. Size: 3.6" W x 3.05" H (9.1 cm x 7.7 cm)

Provenance: ex-private Los Angeles, California collection acquired in California before 2000
