The blade's face dramatically flares to resolve in a broad cutting edge intended for some serious woodwork! A remarkable example from the ancient Romans in the esteemed collection of the late John Piscopo, a most respected ancient weaponry expert. . During his lifetime, Mr. Piscopo amassed an impressive ensemble of axes, daggers, swords, knives, and other weapons from ancient Rome, Greece, the Middle East, China, Southeast Asia, and many other lands. A knowledgeable connoisseur with a keen eye, Mr. Piscopo understood how to discern between reproductions and authentic weaponry. Given the vast number of fakes on the market offered to unsuspecting collectors, Mr. Piscopo took special care to assure that his collection only included genuine pieces.
