Ancient Near East, Holy Land, ca. 1st millennium BCE. An elegant ensemble of 4 pottery vessels, all presenting bulbous bodies, sloped shoulders, flared rims, and slender handles that connect rim to shoulder. First, the 2 largest exhibit elongated bodies with the light orange jar displaying a round base, while the red vessel boasts a planar base and a trefoil spout. The remaining 2 jars have squat bodies; the blackware vessel features a bifurcated handle and incised dotted striations vertically lining the shoulder, as the other has a globular form with horizontal ribs as well as a concave handle. Size of largest: 2.9" Diameter x 4.8" H (7.4 cm x 12.2 cm)
