Ancient Near East, Holy Land, Judea, Late Bronze Age II, ca. 1450 to 1200 BCE. A lovely terracotta pouring vessel known as a "bilbil" juglet showcasing an elegant silhouette embellished with beige and red linear decoration. Likely once used for transporting opium, the ancient vessel exhibits a ring-form foot, an ample, bulbous body, a narrow, elongated neck, a flared spout, and a ribbon-form handle arching from the shoulder edge to the top of the neck. Size: 3.5" W x 6.3" H (8.9 cm x 16 cm)
