Description:

Ancient Near East, Hebron, Middle Bronze Age, ca. 2500 to 1500 BCE. A hand-built pottery toy set including a quadruped beast-of-burden wearing a bridle and a covered wagon with modern wheels and axles. The original design for this type of toy included a harness that stretches from the back of the animal, typically a zebu bull, to the front of the wagon. A string was then attached to the animal in front so a child could pull both animal and cart along behind them. Size (cart): 4.25" L x 3" W x 3.8" H (10.8 cm x 7.6 cm x 9.7 cm)
