Ancient Greece, Corinth, Warrior Group, ca. 600 BCE. A wheel-thrown pottery aryballos of petite, spherical form with a corseted neck and a thick, collared rim. Incised across the exterior is a lion, accented with red and black pigment, that is surrounded by 4 flowers. The base and rim are adorned in concentric circles, and the neck is surrounded by a register of petite petals. Size: 2.3" Diameter x 2.3" H (5.8 cm x 5.8 cm)
