Ancient Central Europe, Danube region, Hallstatt culture, ca. 8th to 10th century BCE. A beautiful bronze bracelet with an omega shaped profile, incised motifs, and a gorgeous light green patina. The bracelet has a narrow opening with two semicircular terminals. The band is detailed with incised patterns of lines, chevrons, and stippling that looks like ropes. The thick body of the bracelet bulges outward at the center and edges, with four raised ribs on the exterior, while the interior is a smooth, slightly concave surface. This attractive piece is wearable and imbued with a light green patina that further embellishes its lovely form! Size: 3.5" Diameter (8.9 cm); opening: 1.43" W (3.6 cm)
