Pre-Columbian, West Mexico, ca. 2000 to 1000 BCE; Central America, Maya Territories, Guatemala or El Salvador, Proto-Maya culture, ca. 300 to 100 BCE. A set of 4 hand-carved stone celts, each of a unique shape as made by its carver. The largest celt exhibits incredibly smooth surfaces and is of West Mexican origin while the remaining 3 celts are of Proto-Maya origin. Size of largest: 8.7" L x 2.875" W x 1.2" H (22.1 cm x 7.3 cm x 3 cm)
