Description:

Greece, Cyprus, ca. late 8th to 7th century BCE. A terracotta vessel in hues of cream, maroon, citrine, and amber with a rounded and unstable base, bulbous body, singular applied handle, thin tubular neck, and flared rim. Brown and red concentric rings detail the exterior surface in a similar fashion to rings on an archery target, with a minute mound protruding out from the center of each ringed formation. Lucite stand not included. Size: 2.75" L x 2.875" W x 4.5" H (7 cm x 7.3 cm x 11.4 cm).

Provenance: Ex-Carlton collection, Los Angeles, California, USA, acquired between 1965 and 1980
