Description:

Greece or Roman, late Hellenistic to early Imperial Period, ca. 3rd to late 1st century BCE. A splendid mold-formed pottery figure of a standing male wearing a belted tunic and draped in a fur-lined cape. With one foot stepping forward, he bends his left arm at his elbow and clutches an object to his chest, while his right falls to his side, grasping the edge of his cape. A turban-like coiffure tops his head, framing the deep eyes, broad nose, and full-lipped smile of his youthful visage. Set on an integral plinth adorned with incised lines to represent grass, this charming sculpture is a remarkable example from ancient Greece! Size: 1.375" W x 3.7" H (3.5 cm x 9.4 cm)
