Lot 26E
Rome, ca. 1st to 3rd century CE. An exquisite display of glass used by the ancients for jewelry, this necklace is comprised of rounded beads attractively arranged so as to alternate between larger and smaller sizes. The focal point is uniquely shaped central pendant. Size: 22" L (55.9 cm); central pendant measures .5" L x .325" W (1.3 cm x 0.8 cm)
Provenance: Ex-Private Florida collection; acquired in England in the 1960s from an old English collection
