Description:

Rome, ca. 1st to 3rd century CE. In addition to creating glass vessels for domestic and funerary contexts, the ancient Romans also used glass to make jewelry, clearly appreciating its beauty as much as we do today. The glass beads of this necklace display a variety of shapes (lozenge, tubular, round, square) arranged in a symmetrical design with a central drop pendant that displays magnificent iridescence! Amazing hues -white, green, grey, deep violet - some with millefiori patterns and stunning iridescence. Size: 22" L (55.9 cm); central pendant .75" L (1.9 cm)
