Classical World, Etruria, ca. 4th to 3rd century BCE; Western Europe, probably England or France, ca. late 19th to 20th century CE. A slender 76.85% (equivalent to 18K+) gold ring with a bifurcated shank and a gorgeous Etruscan banded agate scarab. The topside of the scarab exhibits typical insectile features, and the underside showcases a minimalist figure of a winged Victory (known as Mean or Meanpe in Etruscan mythology) in a standing pose while brandishing a lengthy spear.
