Description:

Central Europe, Germanic peoples, Migration period, ca. mid 1st millennium CE. A fascinating cast bronze figure of a standing woman of unusual form, with a flattened head that suggests this item may once have been used to prop up something like a chest or table. The figure is grotesque, probably intended to be humorous - and rare! Size: 1.55" W x 2.35" H (3.9 cm x 6 cm); 3.05" H (7.7 cm) on included custom stand.
