Description:

Ancient Western Europe, Celtic-Roman border region, ca. 1st century BCE. A beautiful forged-iron dagger with a curved profile boasting a thick spine, a sharpened edge, and a slender tip. A thin cast-bronze hand guard wraps around the upper shoulder of the blade, and a thick tang still bears the entirety of a single rivet. Fractured areas above the rivet suggest the handle was of a longer size than its current state and likely had a perishable handle cover made from bone, stone, or bronze. Size: 1.25" W x 11.5" H (3.2 cm x 29.2 cm).
