China, northwestern area, found in the mountains near Fukang in 2000 CE. A beautiful slice of meteorite, heterogeneous rock with translucent yellow olivine crystals throughout. The Widmanstätten pattern (Thomson structures), long nickel-iron crystals found in pallasite meteorites like this one, are clear. The original meteorite, which is believed to be 4.5 billion years old, weighed 2211 lbs (1003 kg). A nicely polished example. This piece is 76.5 grams. Size: 2.55" W x 2.55" H (6.5 cm x 6.5 cm)
