Pre-Columbian, West Mexico, Colima, ca. 300 BCE to 300 CE. A beautiful stone necklace with hints of white and light grey inclusions. Scattered areas of faint crystallizations are accented by creamy earthen deposits scattered throughout the stones. The necklace is bound together by a red multi-stranded braid leading to a stone ball stopper - when tied, the ball elegantly fastens to a hoop on the chokers opposite end. A ceramic earspool is also included. Size of Necklace: 7" Diameter (17.8 cm); frame: 11.5" L x 12" W (29.2 cm x 30.5 cm)

Provenance: private Fayetteville, Arkansas, USA collection; ex-Dr. David Harner collection, Springdale, Arkansas, USA, acquired between the 1950s and 1960s
