Description:

North America, from the Yegua Formation of Texas, Eocene period, ca. 56 to 33.9 million years ago. A gorgeous fossilized slab of palmwood (Palmoxylon), cut through horizontally to create a planar surface. A thin ring encircles the creamy white interior, which resembles agate at first glance - but look again and you can observe several gradations of color and the structures of the tree. The exterior ring represents the weathered exterior of the tree and its granular surface will fascinate you. Size: 15.6" W x 0.4" H (39.6 cm x 1 cm)
