Ancient Seas, ca. 2 million to 11,700 years ago. A lovely example of a fossilized Megalodon tooth with enamel bearing a beige hue. The bi-lobed root shows the structure of the tooth, and fine vertical striating of the upper enamel is another result of fossilization. Included is a flattened patch of brown hair that once belonged to a woolly mammoth. Size (tooth): 4" W x 4.375" H (10.2 cm x 11.1 cm); 6.375" H (16.2 cm) on included custom stand.

  • Condition: Restoration to large area of one corner and upper periphery, with resurfacing and overpainting along new material and break lines. Tooth has minor nicks to enamel and root, with light encrustations, and some polishing. Nice coloration throughout. Desiccation to mammoth hair commensurate with age.
