Pre-Columbian, Valley of Mexico, Tlatilco, ca. 1100 to 500 BCE. Large and fine pretty lady in solid clay, painted with red striations and highlights. With pronounced incised headdress with applied band, short arms and large wide hips, a symbol of fertility. Nice root marks across surface. Custom, museum quality stand. Size: 5.25" H (13.3 cm); 6" (15.2 cm) on stand.
