Description:

Pre-Columbian, Mayan Territories, ca. 500 to 900 CE. A matching pair of impressively large jade earspools carved from gorgeous jade, each comprised of a round tube that dramatically flares at one end. What makes this pair particularly attractive is the inherent beauty of the stone with its remarkable veining. Just look at that movement of the white veining throughout the apple green jade. It is rare to find a matching pair of Mayan earspools, and just imagine the level of skill and technique it took to create these given the limited tools available during this time! Size: .875" deep x 1.875" in diameter (2.2 cm x 4.8 cm)
