Pre-Columbian, West Mexico, Colima, ca. 300 BCE to 300 CE. A hand-built ceramic figure of a standing shamanic warrior, posed dynamically with a wide club held in both hands and raised as if to strike. The figure wears a tall, crested headdress with accompanying chin strap, a necklace with a huge circular medallion hanging in front of his chest, and holds two large weapons on his back. A finely-modeled figure from this ancient shaft-tomb culture! Comes with museum-quality display stand. Size: 6.375" H (16.2 cm); 6.6" H (16.8 cm) on included custom stand.

  • Condition: Upper half of figure repaired from multiple pieces with light resurfacing, overpainting, and restoration along break lines. Age-commensurate surface wear, small chips to arms, body, and head, otherwise very good. Great earthen and mineral deposits throughout.
