Description:

Ancient Central Europe, Urnfield culture, Late Bronze Age to early Iron Age, ca. 1200 to 800 BCE. A cast-bronze knife blade of a distinctly curved, single-edged form bearing a narrow tang with a perforated suspension hole. Coursing beneath the laterally protruding spine are registers of incised semicircles and dozens of petite stippling marks that imbue the blade with a personalized presentation. The entire tool is enveloped in smooth, lustrous patina of a blue-green hue. Size: 7.3" L x 1.2" W (18.5 cm x 3 cm)
