European, Italy, ca. 1920s to 1950s. "Mirror Mirror on the Wall, Whose the Fairest of them All?" An elegant Venetian mirror fit for a Queen or Snow White as this famous quote suggests! This gorgeous mirror-framed-mirror is comprised of a central rectangular beveled mirror surmounted by an elaborate pediment and surrounded by skillfully cut and beveled frame elements that are beautifully etched with floral, foliage, and bubble motifs. Each section is secured via metal fasteners that are adorned with decorative caps, and the entire mirror is backed with wood. A fabulous as well as functional work of art that conveys luxury as well as the stuff of fairytales! Size: 50.625" L x 32" W (128.6 cm x 81.3 cm)

  • Condition: Some age wear with expected scuffs and areas of oxidation. A few of the decorative caps covering fasteners are missing, but the frame elements are still attached to the backing. The central mirror and mirror frame elements are all backed with wood; some wear to wood on verso as shown. Fit with suspension wire on verso.

Our shippers of choice are DHL for International shipments and UPS for domestic shipments, but we are able to ship via other carriers at the buyer's expense as deemed necessary or by request.

For shipments of oversize items, Artemis Gallery will assist the buyer in working with a third-party shipping provider. For shipments outside of the USA, customs and duties may apply upon entry into said country, and this fee, if any, is the buyer's responsibility.
