Description:

North/West Africa, Tuareg culture, ca. late 19th to early 20th century CE. A steel dagger with a wooden anthropomorphic head-shaped handle. The sheath is woven from dyed rattan fibers, and a band of animal fur lines the bottom of the handle. Size (w/ sheath): 0.6" L x 1.4" W x 14" H (1.5 cm x 3.6 cm x 35.6 cm); (blade): 8.6" L x 1.2" W (21.8 cm x 3 cm)
