Description:

Latin America, Central America, Panama, ca. early to mid 20th century CE. A carved wooden female doll figure shown standing upon stocky, delineated legs. Her arms are slightly bent and draped along her rounded torso, and globular breasts trace upwards to plateaued shoulders and a thick neck. Incised ovoid eyes beneath thin brows, a prominent nose with flared nostrils, incised lips, and smooth cheeks comprise the countenance, and her neat coiffure falls to the nape of her neck. The body's minimalist presentation was perhaps for additional textile clothing. Custom museum-quality display stand included. Size: 3" W x 10.875" H (7.6 cm x 27.6 cm); 11.8" H (30 cm) on included custom stand.
