Description:

Native American, Pacific Northwest Coast, Haida or Tlingit peoples, ca. 1920's CE. A totemic statue, hand-carved from finely-grained cedar, attached to a rectangular platform with planar sides. The body of the totem displays two avian forms with skillfully carved and incised features, wide-open round eyes, and colorful surfaces painted with earthy green, red, and black pigments. Size: 12.125" H (30.8 cm); 12.625" H (32.1 cm) on included custom stand.
