Description:

Pre-Columbian, West Mexico, Colima, ca. 300 BCE to 300 CE. A hand-made ceramic figure of a standing warrior, posed dynamically with a wide club held in both hands and raised as if to strike. The figure wears a huge headdress, secured by a strap around the chin, that extends backward into what almost looks like butterfly wings with a single huge antenna extending from the top of the head. A fascinating, charming figure from the West Mexican shaft tomb tradition! Size: 6.75" H (17.1 cm)
