Pre-Columbian, West Mexico, Colima, ca. 300 BCE to 300 CE. A hand-built pottery jar of sizable form featuring a series of raised nodules or nubs around the upper half of the body. The highly burnished surfaces are covered with red slip pigment, and the slightly round but stable base enables it to rest upright. Size: 10.6" Diameter x 8.6" H (26.9 cm x 21.8 cm)
