Pre-Columbian, West Mexico, ca. 300 BCE to 300 CE. A skillfully modeled bichrome standing female with a characteristically elongated head and attenuated limbs, dressed solely in a skirt or huipil, her bare chest and perky breasts (quixotically located in the vecinity of her armpits) revealed, she is elaborately decorated with a high-set headdress adorned with a shell pendant, matching shell motif earrings and pectoral, and armbands. A fine example from this shaft tomb culture of West Mexico. Size: 3.5" W x 7.625" H (8.9 cm x 19.4 cm)
