Beyond this handsome form, we have an intriguing visage comprised of human features capturing the animism embraced by Pre-Columbian cultures. The rich red terracotta finish is even more intriguing when viewed on the underside where the fine geometric design created via the negative resist technique is quite vivid. 5-3/4"T x 7-1/8"D at widest Provenance: Ex-Ramon Kelly Collection.
