Description:

Pre-Columbian, West Mexico, Guanajuato Valley, Chupicuaro, ca. 500 BCE to 300 CE. A beautiful hand-built and highly-burnished pottery bowl with a round but stable base, tall walls, a deep basin, and a thick rim. The base is adorned by a triangle filled with horizontal linear stripes, and the body is adorned by mirror-image registers of triangles in red and black hues atop a cream ground. Size: 4.15" W x 3.125" H (10.5 cm x 7.9 cm).
