Description:

East Asia, China, Ming Dynasty, ca. 1368 to 1644 CE. An attractive pottery chair boasting a vibrant emerald glaze. The ancient chair presents a rectangular seat with a strip-form back and an omega-shaped arm rests with spiralized terminals, all supported by 4 legs that crisscross to better distribute the weight. A lovely lattice motif is incised along the top of the seat and a foot rest is featured between the 2 front legs. Size: 5.3" W x 8" H (13.5 cm x 20.3 cm)

This piece has been tested using thermoluminescence (TL) analysis and has been found to be ancient and of the period stated. A full printed and bound report is available to the buyer upon request.
