Description:

**Originally Listed At $350**

East Asia, China, Han Dynasty, ca. 206 BCE to 220 CE. A molded terracotta bust of a sophisticated male wearing a high-collared jacket around his broad shoulders. His face presents almond-shaped eyes, thin lips above a protruding chin, and gently furrowed brows that culminate in a central peak just above the perky nose. Ample remains of white pigment cover the face, neckline, and jacket collar while bright red pigment is visible across much of the shoulders. This figure perhaps represents a courtier or a wealthy member of Han high society. Size: 3.3" W x 3.875" H (8.4 cm x 9.8 cm); 5.125" H (13 cm) on included custom stand.
