Pre-Columbian, North Coast Peru, Chimu, ca. 1100 to 1450 CE. A fine and highly-burnished blackware pottery vessel with a rounded base, a cylindrical body, an arching stirrup handle, and a tubular spout. A pair of native fruits hang from either side of the curved handle, and a small avian figure rests at the base of the spout. A lovely example from the ancients of northern Peru!
