Description:

Pre-Columbian, Valley of Mexico, Aztec culture, ca. 1200 to 1532 CE. A finely knapped flint knife of light and dark brown hues that was perhaps used in sacrificial rituals. The petaloid blade has slightly convex faces that taper outwards to form the sharpened edges, and a crescent-shaped tail features a pair of string-cut fastener notches. Size: 9.2" L x 2.9" W (23.4 cm x 7.4 cm)
