Native American, Western Arctic (found near Teller / Brevig Mission on the Bering Sea near Nome, Alaska), Thule period, ca. 1200 to 1700 CE. A well-preserved example of a hand adze ingeniously made from a repurposed caribou antler. The tip has been sharpened to a narrow blade. Size: 2.75" W x 8" H (7 cm x 20.3 cm)

Provenance: private Newport Beach, California, USA collection, before 2000
