Central Asia, Tibet, ca. early 20th century CE. A lovely sterling silver ring with a large bezel containing an ovoid, opaque, wine red carnelian inlay with a perfectly smooth surface. The hexagonal bezel has an elegant, simple form that contrasts well with the dramatic stone. A wide, smooth band completes this striking piece. Size of stone: 0.95" W (2.4 cm); US ring size 10.5; total weight: 10.8 grams
