Ancient Near East, Syria, Hittite Empire, Middle Bronze Age, ca. first half of 2nd Millennium BCE. An impressive lead figure of a flattened abstract form presenting a broad body with sturdy legs, sloped shoulders, and slender arms held to the chest. Supported by an elongated neck, the ovoid head presents minimalist features with sizeable eyes, a crested nose, and prominent, gently-parted lips. Size: 1.3" W x 3.8" H (3.3 cm x 9.7 cm)
