Near East, Luristan, ca. 1000 BCE. A fine ensemble of spear tips – 1 of copper and 2 of bronze. The most petite is forged from copper and features an ovoid point and a flared shaft. Alternatively, the largest is of slender form and is incised with abstract decoration along the shaft. Last, the bronze tip of mid-size presents a long, triangular point that ends with a dramatic, perpendicular shoulder. Size of longest: 15" L x 1" W (38.1 cm x 2.5 cm)
