Native American, Southwestern United States, east central Arizona, Ancestral Puebloan (Anasazi), ca. 1275 to 1325 CE. A beautifully preserved ceramic bowl with a rounded base, tall walls, a deep basin, and a thin rim. The white slipped interior is decorated with zigzagging lines painted in a jet-black pigment, conjuring visions of the lightning storms that mark the skies of the desert southwest during the rainy season. Size: 6.9" W x 2.85" H (17.5 cm x 7.2 cm)
