Northern Europe, Viking or Norse culture, ca. 9th to 11th century CE. A striking iron spear tip with a slender pointed blade, a high tiered central ridge, a slanted cross-section, and a tubular socketed shaft embellished with a raised and rounded double-tiered base. Carved markings of 3 Viking runes can be found near the base of the blade. Its deep silver body is enhanced by mottled russet patina, making this lustrous spear historical proof that looks can kill! Size: 15.624" L x 1.5" W (39.7 cm x 3.8 cm)
