Northern Europe, Scandinavia, Viking or Norse culture, ca. 9th to 11th century CE. A small forged-iron blade with the tang still attached. This tang would have been inserted into a handle made of wood or bone to provide a secure grip and enhance usability. Size: 4.8" L x 0.75" W (12.2 cm x 1.9 cm)
