Pre-Columbian, West Mexico, Colima, ca. 200 BCE to 200 CE. Three beautiful necklaces from the ancients of West Mexico. One featuring a jet black, obsidian pendant on a string of tiny shell beads, another with a spherical ceramic bead detailed with white dots and curvilinear motifs, also suspended from a strand of shell beads, and last but not least, the longest, and elegant strand of shell beads without a pendant. A lovely trio indeed! Size: longest strand measures 40" L (101.6 cm); shortest 21" L (53.3 cm); obsidian pendant measures 1.5" L x .75" W (3.8 cm x 1.9 cm; spherical bead measures .375" W (1 cm)
