Near East, Mesopotamia, Neo-Assyrian / Neo-Babylonian, ca. 1000 to 500 BCE; Ancient Near East, Persia, Sassanian (also Sasanian, Sassanid) Empire, ca. 2nd to 7th century CE. A collection of 3 Near Eastern stamp seals carved from agate / chalcedony stones, with drilled suspension holes. The faces of two are etched with linear and stippled cultic worship scene, and the third has a seated figure holding a bird. This last one is probably from the later Sassanian empire. Size of largest: 1" L x 0.66" W (2.5 cm x 1.7 cm)
